A Seattle-area advertising executive took out a full-page ad in Sunday’s Seattle Times to tell Mayor Katie Wilson that the region’s homelessness response is failing—and that City Hall needs to measure what each taxpayer-funded program actually accomplishes.
Robert “Bob” Hacker founded The Hacker Group, a direct marketing agency, in 1986. The firm worked with major clients and later became part of advertising company Foote, Cone & Belding. Hacker’s successor took over the agency in 2001. His professional background is in testing marketing campaigns and measuring their results.
