Native Americans and Alaska Natives account for nearly 15% of King County’s homeless population, nearly three times the share initially reported in the county’s 2026 Point-in-Time Count, according to corrected data released by researchers.
The revised findings follow collaboration between the Urban Indian Health Institute (UIHI), Chief Seattle Club and the University of Washington to address flaws in the data collected by the King County Regional Homelessness Authority (KCRHA).
