In a recent development, an individual claiming affiliation with the notorious ‘Kia Boys’ has been charged with eight felony counts of possessing stolen vehicles.
Saylen Kelly, an 18-year-old, allegedly played a role in the theft of 13 Kias and Hyundais between October 2023 and January 2024. The charges shed light on a growing concern about car thefts, particularly targeting vulnerable makes and models.

Saylen Kelly was charged with eight felony counts related to the possession of stolen vehicles, with a bail set at $100,000. The charges point to his suspected involvement in a criminal group operating in West Seattle, allegedly engaged in stealing and possessing vehicles. Notably, eight of the recovered stolen cars were found in close proximity to Kelly’s residence.
Undercover Operations and Social Media Boasts:
Law enforcement, aware of Kelly’s activities, conducted undercover surveillance, monitoring areas where stolen cars were allegedly parked. The investigation also uncovered Kelly’s presence on anonymous social media platforms, where he reportedly bragged about car thefts and offered assistance to others interested in stealing Kias and Hyundais.
