A Tacoma woman who was fatally shot over the weekend has been identified, according to the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Tamrah Dickman, 39, died from multiple gunshot wounds on Jan. 28 at the 1700 block of 61st Street in Tacoma. Her manner of death has been listed as a homicide, the medical examiner said in a news release.
A GoFundMe for Dickman spells her first name as TamRah.
Tacoma police officers were dispatched on Sunday at about 1:45 a.m. for reports of a shooting. Officers found Dickman, who appeared to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds, a previous News Tribune story reported .
Dickman was pronounced deceased. Police contacted a man at the scene, and he was then taken into custody.
The 42-year-old man remains in the Pierce County Jail on a $1 million bail, jail records show. He has not been charged.
The GoFundMe says that Dickman was a mother to five children. The fundraiser hopes to raise money to support her children and help cover funeral costs.
“Let us come together to support this grieving family and ensure that TamRah’s legacy of love and compassion lives on through the care we extend to her precious children,” the description of the fundraiser said.
