Washington HC Jedd Fisch Reportedly Interviewed For Recently Opened CFB Job

Just when we thought the coaching carousel had settled, UCLA head coach Chip Kelly jumped ship for the Ohio State offensive coordinator role.

It was a major slap in the face for UCLA who opted not to fire him despite his lackluster recruiting efforts, on-field product, and constantly eyeing a way out. The Bruins are now in new coach mode, which is difficult considering both Johnathan Smith and Jedd Fisch took jobs elsewhere.

However, while Fisch may have just taken the job at Washington to replace Kalen DeBoer, he did reportedly at least give UCLA a look. According to a report by 247Sports ‘ Jason Scheer, Fisch interviewed for the UCLA job.

He did explain that it’s unlikely that UCLA would pay his buyout, but it is quite ironic that just days after saying he’d be in Seattle for years he is already looking elsewhere.

“There is zero chance UCLA would pay Jedd Fisch’s buyout, he’s been at UW for less than a month, and this dude absolutely still interviewed for the job,” wrote Scheer.
