Police release description of man sought in stabbing of woman at Point Defiance Park

Tacoma police continued to search for the man suspected of stabbing a woman at Point Defiance Park on Saturday.

The woman was walking on the marked trails of 5-Mile Drive when she was stabbed and suffered non-life threatening injuries just before 1 p.m. The man who stabbed her was unknown to the woman and fled the scene using the park’s trail system and remained at large Monday, according to the Tacoma Police Department.

The woman is in stable condition.

Police release a description of the man Monday. He is described as a light-skinned Black man in his late 20s to early 30s. He has a thin build with a possible goatee, “afro-style” hair standing several inches off his head and was last seen wearing dark clothing, a Tacoma Police Department Facebook post said .
