Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center’s Proposal for 500,000 SQFT Research Building in Seattle Approved by West Design Review Board

Seattle’s South Lake Union district could soon see the construction of a new wing on the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center campus. A proposal for a half million square foot building known as the Stuart and Molly Sloan Precision Oncology Institute that will be dedicated to cancer research was approved by the West Design Review Board during an early design guidance meeting on Feb. 7. The plan will move forward to the recommendation phase of the city’s early design guidance process.
