Part of a Delta Airlines plane caught fire after landing at Seattle–Tacoma International Airport on Monday evening. Arriving from Cancun, Mexico, Delta Flight 604 saw its nose area catch fire after it arrived at its gate and plugged into electrical sockets, which caused sparks to emerge.
No major injuries were reported after the incident. Chutes were deployed and passengers were safely evacuated from the aircraft, according to an airport spokesperson.
The Port of Seattle Fire Department later arrived at the scene, but they found no fire, but still sprayed the aircraft with water, reports KomoNews. Meanwhile, Ireland has become one of the top destinations for US customers flying with Delta for the first time ever.
