Security guard reportedly displays firearm at Boeing picket line in SeaTac Monday

Early Monday morning, Sept. 16, 2024, King County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of a disturbance at a picket line at the Boeing Distribution Center in SeaTac.

Picketers had reportedly blocked access to the property, disrupting operations at the facility.

According to the King County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the scene just after 6 a.m. after receiving calls about the incident.

Police said that as the situation unfolded, a security guard reportedly left the premises around 6:30 a.m. During his departure, witnesses said the guard displayed a firearm, though authorities emphasized there was no indication that he pointed the weapon at anyone specifically.

The situation resolved without further escalation, and the security guard left the scene without incident.

After assessing the situation, deputies cleared the area and closed the case.
