Fiesta del Maíz in Bellevue is among events happening as part of Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs Sept. 15-Oct. 15 nationally. Fiesta del Maíz is a celebration of community, heritage, and ancestry through food, specifically through the celebration of maiz, or corn, a crop that has strong ancestral connections. The Fiesta del Maíz will take place from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Oct. 5 at Crossroads Park.
