College GameDay Makes History With Week 9 Location Announcement

In Week 8, Texas Longhorns fans brought the energy for ESPN’s “College GameDay” as the college football world awaited the highly anticipated Top 5 showdown with the Georgia Bulldogs.

Week 9 is now on the horizon, and “College GameDay” is set to make history with its next location.

For the first time ever, “College GameDay” is heading to Bloomington, Indiana, as the Washington Huskies take on the No. 16 Indiana Hoosiers.

The last time an Indiana team started 7-0 was back in 1967 . On the other hand, Washington comes into the meeting with a record of 4-3.

These two schools have only met three times in their history, the most recent being in 2003. Now, in 2024, Indiana and Washington will face off for the first time as Big Ten rivals.

Both teams feature first-year head coaches. Indiana’s Curt Cignetti came over from James Madison where he went 19-4 in two seasons combined.

After falling to the Michigan Wolverines 34-13 in last season’s College Football Playoff National Championship, Washington lost head coach Kalen DeBoer to the Alabama Crimson Tide.
