Huskies Lose 4-Star OT Commit to Oregon

For several weeks rumors have suggested that Washington was on the verge of losing another class of 2025 verbal commit to Oregon.

On Sunday, less than 24 hours after the Huskies fell 49-21 to the Ducks at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, four-star Central Catholic High School (Portland, Ore.) offensive tackle Zac Stascausky announced he has flipped his commitment from Jedd Fisch to Dan Lanning, marking the second one-time UW commit to choose UO this cycle.

Stascausky, a 6-foot-6, 275-pound senior, had been committed to the Huskies since August 6, after he switched his original commitment from Minnesota to UW after an unofficial visit to the school in late July.

The four-star recruit is ranked as the No. 164 overall recruit in the 2025 class by 247 Sports and the No. 19 offensive tackle, a position of need moving into next season that Fisch has discussed at length over the last two months.

With the early signing period for senior football recruits set to open on December 4, losing Stascausky is a significant hit for UW, who now rank No. 21 in the country for its upcoming recruiting class by 247 Sports with five offensive line commits.
