Washington State bus driver maced by passenger before being dragged off bus and stabbed to death

A Washington State bus driver was allegedly killed by a passenger who dragged him from his seat and stabbed him to death in an alleyway.

Shawn Yim, 59, was maced by his attacker at around 3am on Wednesday before he was forced from his vehicle and murdered in a Seattle side street, near University Way Northeast . Police have named Richard Sitzlack, 53, as their lead suspect in the horrific killing which has shocked communities right across the city .

The force has released four pictures of the wanted man, who they say is roughly 6ft five-inches tall, weighs 195 pounds and has brown eyes and brown hair . He was last seen wearing a navy-blue hooded sweatshirt, dark gray/blue jacket, black beanie, yellow backpack, blue camouflage pants, dark sneakers with white soles, and was carrying a red shopping bag.

Amalgamated Transit Union President Greg Woodfill held a press conference following the killing with King County Metro, the King County Council and the Seattle City Council. He said it was now crucial for those employed in public transportation to have more protection from police.
