Safety doesn’t seem like a big roster need for the Seattle Seahawks as they approach the 2025 NFL offseason. Julian Love is firmly established at the top of the depth chart and Coby Bryant’s ascension has solidified a very strong 1-2 punch at the back end of Seattle’s defense. However, there may be room to add another name here, especially if the Seahawks decide to cut Rayshawn Jenkins for cap savings.
According to Bleacher Report , Seattle will wind up signing Baltimore Ravens safety Ar’Darius Washington in free agency when the market opens in March – assuming the Ravens don’t re-sign him.
B/R on Seahawks-Washington
“Rayshawn Jenkins has been underwhelming in 2024 and could get cut to save $5.4 million in cap space, per Over the Cap. Also, K’Von Wallace is an impending free agent and Coby Bryant is only signed through 2025. So, don’t be surprised if Mike Macdonald plucks a defensive back from his former employer. Washington has been having a solid season this year to at least provide some depth in the secondary and shouldn’t be too expensive on the open market…”
