The Cannery Aims to Debut In Hoquiam

According to a recent permit filing, The Cannery aims to debut in Hoquiam at 220 5th Street Number A.

“We will be a unique “sports tavern” in Grays Harbor County. Our target opening date is March 15th.  Our sandwiches (think Domini’s in Spokane) and meat and cheese plates will likely not launch until April/May,” Chris Frye told What Now Seattle .

For those unfamiliar with Domini’s, Domini’s website describes the concept as “a family-owned business serving deli-style sandwiches (meat, cheese, bread and condiments). We also serve our famous popcorn, soups, pickles, sodas, beer and wine.”

According to Yelp , 220 5th Street is home to the Simpson Plaza, alongside a few other businesses. “Simpson Plaza Event Center offers a 6400sq foot event center with a raised stage and a band room on the side of the stage to plan your next venue.”

Redfin provides more information on the property by stating that the overall square footage of the space is 24,979 square feet. The property was built in 1923 and was last sold in 2019.
