A 26-year-old Kirkland woman who died Sunday after jumping from a bridge on the Spirit Lake Memorial Highway near Mount St. Helens has been identified, according to the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office.
The coroner’s office has made contact with the woman’s next of kin after her death. On Wednesday, the coroner’s office identified the victim as Savannah R. Bell, 26, of Kirkland. The cause of death was listed as blunt force traumatic injuries with the manner of death being suicide.
The woman sent a text message to Cowlitz County 911 at about 1:23 p.m. Sunday stating that she had jumped off the Hoffstadt Creek Bridge.

“A passerby found the purse and stopped on the bridge. They called 911 to advise of finding the purse and seeing a person below the bridge.”
