14 federal offices in western Washington listed for lease termination

SEATTLE — Over a dozen federal buildings in Washington state are under scrutiny from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and appear to be targeted to have their leases terminated.

The 14 buildings were listed on DOGE’s Wall of Receipts, which was last updated March 19, under the government’s accounting for lease terminations and associated savings.

The agencies targeted include the Government Accountability Office (GAO), which has a location in Seattle; three Natural Resources Conservation Services sites in Puyallup, Renton and Dayton; the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration in Olympia and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in Port Angeles…
