Suspect throws objects at Kent parking officer’s car, arrested for assault

A 25-year-old Kent resident was arrested Monday morning, Mar. 24, 2025 after allegedly throwing objects at a Kent Police Department parking enforcement vehicle, damaging its windshield and door.

Police said the incident occurred around 8 a.m. in the 1600 block of W. Meeker Street (map below), where a parking enforcement officer was on duty. According to police, the suspect began yelling and swearing at the officer before escalating to physical aggression.

“Our Parking Officer tried to ignore it and got back into his vehicle, then heard a very loud bang,” police said in a statement. “The suspect had thrown something so hard at the windshield that it chipped. The suspect then threw something at the vehicle door while yelling there was ‘nothing he could do about it’.”…
