According to a report by GOBankingRates, a financial planning and information website, the household income needed to live a “comfortable lifestyle” in Seattle is $151,787 . In Portland, the income needed is $143,754.

The organization analyzed the 50 most populous cities in the U.S. and ranked them by the household income needed to “enjoy a good life” and feel financially secure. It factored in things such as annual grocery and child care costs and monthly mortgage payments in each city…
