KING COUNTY, Wash. — The King County Sheriff’s Office is the latest law enforcement agency in Washington to deploy the StarChase technology, which allows deputies to launch GPS tracking devices that stick onto a fleeing vehicle.
The technology has become popular among Washington police as an alternative to engaging in high-risk pursuits.
