Robert F. Kennedy Jr. directs closure of Head Start Regional Office that serves Idaho, Washington families

BOISE, Idaho — The Head Start Regional Office serving Idaho and Washington has closed at the direction of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., according to its executive director.

Executive Director Megan Woller said Region 10, which serves Idaho, Alaska, Washington and Oregon, was one of five regional offices closed. Woller said federal staff were placed on administrative leave until June without warning.

According to Woller, Region 10 serves around 4,000 children and families in Idaho and Joel Ryan with the Washington Association of Head Start and ECEAP says it serves 15,000 kids in Washington…
