Washington State-based Costco is spicing up its iconic food courts, while still holding firm on its beloved $1.50 hot dog and soda combo. The retailer, headquartered in Issaquah, recently announced several menu changes impacting locations nationwide.
In March, Costco CFO Gary Millerchip confirmed the rollout of a new strawberry banana smoothie, already available at many locations. The company is also bringing back a hot turkey provolone sandwich this quarter — a fan favorite that’s been absent for years.
Perhaps the biggest shift? CEO Ron Vachris revealed plans to switch food court fountain drinks from Pepsi back to Coca-Cola this summer, a reversal of a decision made in 2013.
