Traveler with measles visited Seattle airport, stayed in Tukwila hotel

SEATAC, Wash. — A person who was infectious with measles traveled through Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and stayed at a Tukwila hotel April 6-7. Now Public Health — Seattle & King County is warning people to monitor for symptoms and check their vaccination status.

The Canadian resident was likely exposed while traveling abroad. Their vaccination status is unknown.

The person was at these locations on the following dates and approximate times:

  • April 6, between 5:45-10 p.m.: SEA Airport Gate S10, International Arrivals Facility through customers, carousel 20 of baggage claim, exited through Gina Marie Hall.
  • April 6-7 between 8:45 p.m. and 7 a.m.: Comfort Suites Tukwila Airport at 7200 Fun Center Way.
  • April 7 between 4:45-7:30 a.m.: SEA Airport Gate S1.
