Everett Residents Prepare for Disruption as Drainage Pipe Installation Begins for Edgewater Bridge Project

Residents along Shore Avenue are bracing for an upcoming disruption as the City of Everett gears up to install a drainage detention pipe, which is part of the larger Edgewater Bridge Replacement Project. According to the City of Everett announcement, the work is set to kick off the week of May 12 and wrap up by May 19, sticking to a regular schedule of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday to Friday, though they’ve noted that these dates could shuffle around depending on how things pan out.

The contractor on board, Granite Construction, will be handling the heavy lifting. But not without giving heads up, they’ve put forth an advisory acknowledging that the “work is expected to be loud and disruptive.” Property access along with the way for emergency vehicles will be kept clear, aiming for minimal upheaval. When it comes to facing the music of construction cacophony and inevitable dust-ups, the City of Everett has extended an olive branch, saying, “We apologize in advance for any inconvenience to you.”…
