In the early hours of Friday morning, a burglary suspect was shot after reportedly breaking into a Seattle apartment building and attempting to force his way into several units. Police dispatchers received multiple calls about a shooting at an apartment complex located in the 100 block of 21st Avenue around 1 a.m.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered a 28-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper leg. While administering medical assistance, they quickly identified him as the suspect involved in a series of attempted burglaries within the building. The investigation led officers to a third-floor apartment, where they spoke with a 31-year-old man, his wife, and their 2-year-old child, who provided crucial details about the incident.
