Des Moines driver arrested after rampage leaves 6 vehicles damaged, $12K in repair costs

DES MOINES, Wash. — Des Moines police arrested a driver on a rampage who was caught on camera ramming into multiple vehicles and causing tens of thousands of dollars in damage.

The incident occurred near 226th Street and 6th Avenue S on May 8 around 8:45 p.m. Witnesses told KOMO News they had to intervene and detain the driver to put a stop to the destruction.

“I watched him put it in reverse and then put it back in drive and just smash again, he just kept repeating it,” Victoria Jametsky, who witnessed the incident, said. “He must have backed up, put his car in reverse, and drive at least six or seven times.”…
