Seattle Police Department officers stumbled upon an unexpected cache of cash, drugs, and a stolen gun following a DUI arrest in the city’s Denny Triangle neighborhood. The discovery occurred after responding to a report of an unconscious woman in a car last Sunday morning, as per a news release on the SPD Blotter.
Officers arrived at the 1900 block of 5th Avenue to find the 40-year-old woman passed out behind the wheel of her vehicle, which was obstructing a hotel driveway. Seattle Fire Department paramedics were brought to the scene to address what they suspected was a drug overdose afflicting the driver. With the victim still inside, the officers gleaned paraphernalia that hinted at narcotics use and noticed the firearm, initially not knowing it was stolen.
The suspect, whose identity has not been released, was arrested on charges of DUI and Possession of a Stolen Firearm. Her vehicle was subsequently impounded, waiting on a search warrant to comb through its contents.
