SEATTLE — The Bellevue School District’s spending is outpacing its revenue, and its cash reserves are depleted.
It’s so dire that the district is about to fall under financial oversight from the state, until it gets it right. Once oversight is finalized, the Bellevue School District will become the eighth district in Washington state that needs help balancing its budget, according to the Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI).
