Improperly discarded fireworks ignite house fire, displacing family of five

BREMERTON, Wash. — A family of five was displaced after improperly discarded fireworks ignited a house fire early Saturday morning.

Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue responded to the blaze at a two-story home in the 7000 block of Freeport Lane NE at 12:46 a.m. on July 5, the agency stated.
