From Seattle to Boston, troopers team up to catch speeders on I-90

SPOKANE, Wash – Drivers on the nation’s longest interstate highway will want to watch their speed in late July, as law enforcement from one coast to the other are planning special patrols.

The speed emphasis patrol runs from July 20th to July 27th all along Interstate 90, covering more than 3,000 miles.

“Our goal is simple: to save lives,” said Washington State Patrol Chief John Bastise. “Excessive speed remains one of the leading causes of serious injury and fatal crashes, and with agencies across the country joining forces, we’re sending a clear message—slow down, drive responsibly, and help make I-90 safer for everyone.”…
