A pursuit involving a stolen vehicle ended safely in Des Moines on Sunday, July 20, 2025 after officers executed a successful Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver and took the suspect into custody without injury.
During the pursuit, police said the suspect threw a firearm from the vehicle. The weapon was later recovered by officers.
The suspect, a convicted felon whose name has not yet been released, was booked into jail following the incident.
