The epicenter was pinpointed at 0 kilometers north-northeast of Keyport, at a depth of 23.6 kilometers. The quake was automatically detected and reviewed by seismic experts at the University of Washington.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries, and only one person had reported feeling the event to the US Geological Survey as of Friday afternoon. Seismologists noted that the depth of the quake likely minimized its impact on the surface, but minor shaking could be felt in nearby communities including Poulsbo, Silverdale, and as far as the Seattle metropolitan area…
