UPDATE: Suspect makes ‘rare mistake’ in $500 Fred Meyer meat theft, gets busted by Burien P.D.

A man who allegedly tried to steal more than $500 worth of meat from a Safeway in Burien was arrested recently after a brief foot chase, according to the Burien Police Department.

Deputies responded to a report of a robbery in progress at the grocery store, where the suspect was attempting to flee with high-value cuts of meat.

“After a brief chase (fueled by questionable life choices, not protein) deputies caught up and safely took the suspect into custody,” Burien Police said in a statement. “That’s right—this individual tried to beef with the law over some prime cuts.”…
