Seattle City Auditor warns of three major crises affecting neighborhoods

SEATTLE — Seattle’s City Auditor says retail theft, gun violence and deadly drug overdoses are the city’s biggest challenges right now. A new report breaks down how each of these problems is growing, where they’re hitting hardest and what steps the city could take to slow them down before they get worse.

Seattle City Council President Sara Nelson, who called for the audit, says it’s the council’s job to hold the executive accountable.
