SEATTLE — A retired King County detective, who survived being shot in the line of duty while serving an eviction notice in 2023, died in Montana after a boating incident on Saturday.
The body of 67-year-old David Easterly from Mill Creek, Washington, was recovered from Montana’s Flathead Lake on Monday. Easterly had been reported missing after jumping from a boat in the Blue Bay area on Saturday around 4:30 p.m., according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
