The state patrol had to deal with a big mess on Highway 16 Sunday morning, when someone tossed hundreds of nails into the freeway.
It happened just before 8:00 a.m., in the westbound lanes of SR 16, just west of the S. Union Ave. overpass.
Troopers say there was a pedestrian walking along the roadway who threw the nails onto the pavement.
That resulted in the closure of the highway’s right lane, as well as the westbound off-ramp onto S. Union Ave…
