Woman mauled by dogs while jogging to receive $21 million settlement from King County

KING COUNTY, Wash. — King County has agreed to pay $21.5 million to settle the lawsuit of the woman who was mauled by dogs while out jogging in her neighborhood in an unincorporated area of Auburn in 2022.

Gyongyi Maas, who was 38 at the time, was out for a jog in the area of 28000 45th Place South, on Feb. 22, 2022, when two dogs ran out from a home and started attacking her.

Hearing her screams, neighbors ran out and tried to help, but they were unable to stop the attack…
