SEATTLE, TUKWILA, Wash. — A series of protests will mark Labor Day around Puget Sound as labor unions, advocates for immigrants, and others celebrate workers while calling attention to what they see as threats against democracy. Many are part of a national day of demonstrations called Workers Over Billionaires.
One of the first actions will be when members of local labor unions gather outside Palantir Technologies to denounce the company’s surveillance systems being used to facilitate raids by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, as well as being used to support foreign wars, according to protesters.
