‘Bouts of negative activity’ lead to temporary closure of 3 Seattle parks

SEATTLE — The city of Seattle has fenced off and temporarily closed three parks, citing safety concerns.

Lake City Mini Park, Seven Hills Park, and a pavilion within Dr. Blanche Lavizzo Park were shut down on Aug. 28, with the closure expected to last 60 days.

“We recognize that this park has been impacted by bouts of negative park activity, and we will continue to work to ensure that all parks are clean, safe, and welcoming,” the city park department told KOMO News in a statement…
