Washington and Oregon quake fears high, readiness low

SEATTLE, Wash. – Many Pacific Northwest residents anticipate experiencing a significant earthquake, often referred to as “the Big One,” within their lifetime, according to a recent poll by PEMCO Insurance. However, the poll also highlights a concerning lack of preparedness among households.

It revealed that 82% of residents in Washington and Oregon expect a major earthquake to occur. Despite this, only 19% feel “very prepared” for such a disaster.
