Burien man convicted of deadly King County Metro bus shooting to be sentenced

SEATTLE — A man who pleaded guilty to murdering a sleeping passenger on a King County Metro bus in White Center in 2023 is scheduled to be sentenced Friday.

Miguel Rivera-Dominguez was 17 at the time of the crime and was charged as an adult. He is now 19.

Surveillance video showed the moment the teen shot 21-year-old Marcel Wagner several times in what prosecutors called a “senseless execution of a total stranger.” However, Dominguez’s defense team claims the teenager acted out of fear for his own life…
