A Washington mother was charged with attempted murder after authorities allege she tried to kill her 8-week-old infant, who suffered 20 rib fractures.
Shannon McNease is charged with attempted murder and assault of a child, according to Kitsap County, Wash., jail records.
The Bremerton Police Department said in a release that McNease’s daughter was taken to the hospital by her father on Aug. 7. The infant was “suffering from a brain bleed and multiple fractures in various stages of healing, indicating non-accidental trauma,” police said…
