Seattle Weather Alert: Heavy Showers Overnight, Clearing by Monday

Seattle, Wash. – Showers will soak the Seattle metro overnight into Sunday morning, bringing slick roads and reduced visibility across King County before skies turn sunny to start the workweek.

According to the National Weather Service in Seattle, rainfall is expected to pick up after 4 a.m. Sunday with patchy fog lingering into late morning. South winds of 6 to 10 mph will add to difficult driving conditions. Rainfall amounts should remain light, but wet pavement and low clouds could slow morning commutes.

By Sunday afternoon, rain chances taper off, with partly cloudy skies returning in the evening. Eastern King County communities, including Bellevue and Issaquah, may see longer-lasting showers, while western neighborhoods near Puget Sound clear sooner…
