Seattle police officer rams oncoming car to stop potential attack on pedestrian

SEATTLE, Wash. — A dramatic intervention by a Seattle police officer prevented a potential pedestrian attack on Friday when she drove her SUV into a Prius to stop a dangerous driver.

“The Prius shot out from Southwest Othello onto 47th, and he almost clipped my back panel,” said Lt. Heidi Tuttle. She recounted how the Prius swerved erratically, nearly hitting another car head-on, and then almost ran over a pedestrian while narrowly missing three more vehicles.

Lt. Tuttle stated that the driver seemed fixated on a man in the street. “Once he crossed Fauntleroy to the east side of the street, he gunned it towards the guy. The victim jumped out of the street,” she said…
