Pedestrian killed in Kent collision with vehicle identified

A 34-year-old Renton man, struck and killed by a vehicle in Kent while crossing SE 208th Street just after midnight Sept. 16, has been identified as Shane M. O’Flynn.

O’Flynn died of multiple blunt force injuries in the accident, according to the Sept. 18 King County Medical Examiner’s Office report.

Officers responded to a 911 dispatch about the collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian at about 12:01 a.m. Sept. 16 in the 11400 block of SE 208th Street. Officers found O’Flynn in the street unconscious and breathing, according to a Kent Police news release. He had sustained multiple injuries. Medics provided lifesaving efforts, including CPR. Medics transported O’Flynn to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he died a short time later…
