Seattle Detectives Probe South Seattle Shooting That Leaves One Man Injured

Seattle has found itself marked by violence once again, as detectives comb through the aftermath of a shooting in South Seattle that left one man wounded. As reported by the SPD Blotter, the incident occurred late last night, resulting in a 41-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound.

According to the Seattle Police Department, the victim was in his vehicle on the 8700 block of Wabash Avenue South around 9:30 p.m. when the shooter, who was known to him, approached and shot him through the window. Running away before law enforcement arrived, the suspect managed to escape in a vehicle, leaving the victim in serious but stable condition as the Seattle Fire Department swiftly provided medical care and transported him to Harborview Medical Center.

The investigation has been taken over by the Gun Violence Reduction Unit, which arrived at the scene to process evidence and to conduct interviews. Police have not released details regarding a motive for the shooting or the identity of the suspected gunman at this time.
