SEATTLE — The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office says its strategy to make schools safer is getting positive feedback, while acknowledging there’s more work to do because, although overall gun violence is down in King County, there was a boosted number of school-aged shooting victims between 2020 and 2024, the office said.
Prosecuting Attorney Leesa Manion and Juvenile Division leaders will release new data on the number of firearm charges students faced in the 2024-2025 school year, and announce new strategies and partnerships for the coming year at a press conference on Wednesday.
KOMO News will live-stream the press conference at 1:30 p.m. in this story…
