SEATTLE — Washington Attorney General Nick Brown filed an amicus brief this week formally urging the Ninth Circuit court of appeals to block the deployment of National Guard troops in Oregon.
Brown said military force “threatens vital Fourth and Fifth amendment rights, chills the exercise of rights to speak freely and to vote, and can create the atmosphere of fear and hostility.”
