1 Suspect Arrested In Connection With $2 Million Jewelry Heist In Seattle

Police have arrested a 29-year-old man in connection with the August smash-and-grab robbery that netted more than $2 million in jewelry, diamonds, and luxury watches from a West Seattle jewelry store.

The Seattle Police Department said the suspect, already a convicted felon barred from possessing firearms, was taken into custody by Renton Police on Oct. 16 in connection with a string of separate smash-and-grab robberies and weapons violations. During the arrest, officers recovered two firearms, ammunition, narcotics, and additional evidence linking him to the West Seattle case.

Seattle police detectives with the Robbery Unit referred robbery charges to the King County Prosecuting Attorneys Office on Oct. 18. The suspect is now being held at the Maleng Regional Justice Center in Kent on $250,000 bail…
