On November 4, 2025, Seattle police arrested a 47-year-old man in North Seattle. Officers responded to a false robbery report on Aurora Avenue North. They found the man and another person near the scene. During questioning, police recovered a loaded handgun. The gun had been reported stolen in New Llano, Louisiana, nearly eight years ago.
The man, who has previous felony convictions and is a registered sex offender, was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a stolen firearm. King County Jail initially declined to book him due to a medical claim. He was evaluated at Harborview Medical Center and later booked into jail.
